It is American Residential’s preference to promote from within. The following are a few examples of employees who have held a variety of positions with the company and have been promoted throughout their tenure with us.

When I started with American Residential as a Field Training Specialist five years ago, I knew that I wanted to become a District Manager. After two and a half years, I was promoted to Facility Manager. By showing initiative and implementing changes in the communities, proposing new ideas and taking on new challenges, I was promoted to District Manager a year later. Currently, I’m enjoying new challenges as a Regional Vice President. What I enjoy most about my role is the diversity, the newness, supervising and training team members and being creative. At American Residential there’s always something new and exciting.

I started with American Residential as a part-time Office Assistant and soon moved up to full-time. After two years in that role I was promoted to Community Manager. During my time as Community Manager, I was asked to become a Field Training Specialist, which I remained in for about a year, before deciding that my passion was more suited to the Community Manager role. What I enjoy most about American Residential is the teamwork within my district. I do a lot of peer coaching, which I truly enjoy, as it allows me one-on-one time with my co-workers. Since the beginning of my career with American Residential, my District Manager and Regional Training Manager have encouraged and challenged me to grow my career within the company.

I began my career with American Residential as a community Maintenance Technician. After several months in this position, the Community Manager position became available. I applied for the position, was promoted, and spent the next year and a half in that role before being asked to help with a struggling community. After spending a year implementing improvements at that community, American Residential approached me with a Facility Manager position for a portfolio of properties. Most recently, I’ve been promoted to District Manager, which has brought me many challenges and successes. A career with American Residential has been a great opportunity for me.

I began my time at American Residential as a Maintenance Technician, mowing lawns and doing yard work, believing it would be a good place to decide on my next career move. Even after telling a Regional Vice President that I had no interest in moving into a management position, I later reconsidered after finding out what American Residential is all about. Since then, I have served in the roles of Maintenance Technician, Community Manager, Field Training Specialist, Operations Manager and currently District Manager. American Residential has given me great growth opportunity. American Residential is always growing and improving as a company, and offers an environment that presents something new and exciting every day.

I began my career with American Residential when the property where I was Community Manager was acquired. More than nine years later, I still love the job because it allows me to do the things I enjoy: interacting with people, providing solutions to customers, and filling up communities. Along the way, I’ve accepted other opportunities within American Residential, and even retirement, but each time I’ve returned to the job I love: being a Community Manager with American Residential!
